Senior Engineering Manager
KEF Robotics is working on some new and very exciting projects! In order to accommodate our growing team, we are in search of a Senior Engineering Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The software engineering manager will provide technical guidance, build and maintain a staffing plan, and resolve problems as they arise. This position requires the successful candidate to be self-motivated and at times work with little supervision. The ability to interact with other professionals in various sectors is critical.

What you're responsible for:

Improving existing software development processes and procedures; ensuring consistent standards and best practices across multiple product development initiatives

Leading technical communication and presentations to customers; managing customer relationships and handling project logistics

Help create long-term roadmaps while ensuring short-term sprint objectives are met
-
Develop and maintain integrated master schedule that spans numerous product development activities
-
Work with engineers from other disciplines to develop software requirements and support design artifacts
-
Contribute to proposals and SOWs
-
Help foster a positive and inclusive team culture
What we are looking for:

Empathetic and collaborative team player

5+ years' relevant engineering experience
-
3+ years' experience in a technical lead/engineering management position
-
Past experience using various Project Management tools (MS Project, Merlin, etc)

Strong documentation skills
Bonus Skills

Machine learning and experience programming within a popular ML framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc)

GPU programming (CUDA / OpenCL)

Familiarity with nonlinear optimization techniques

Familiarity with ROS / ROS 2 (Robot Operating System)

Unreal Engine / Unity experience
-
Experience with robotics state estimation and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) algorithms

Experience programming for embedded environments

Clear, concise technical writing skills
